About us - information on Sheaf Ecology and useful links

Sheaf Ecology Ltd is an environmental and ecological consultancy recently formed by three colleagues previously employed by the long established Hallam Environmental Consultants Ltd. Sheaf Ecology offers a professional and practical approach to environmental issues. Our experienced team covers a broad spectrum of environmental and ecological disciplines ranging from protected species surveys and mitigation, environmental and biodiversity appraisals and practical site management to research, community engagement projects, environmental interpretation and training.

The philosophy of Sheaf Ecology is to find simple yet innovative wildlife solutions on a site by site basis without compromising our client's budget, development timescales or the welfare of wildlife. We conduct all operations carefully, sensitively, and professionally.

Staff members in varying roles have suitable qualifications in ecology and environmental management, are Natural England protected species licence holders, are NPTC certified for tree-climbing and pesticide use, are first-aid certified, are members of South Yorkshire Bat Group and Natural England bat warden volunteers and are members of the IEEM, respectively.
